Dosk’s entrance into the music world follows his father David Ivory, a Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum engineer and producer who has worked closely with some of Philadelphia’s most notable exports. Growing up in this musical environment gave Dosk his appreciation for music, most notably hip-hop, which blended with EDM beats has become his trademark sound. It wasn’t until a semester abroad in Italy, however, where Dosk truly sharpened the intricacies of his craft. While guest DJ’ing at a number of Roman clubs, he was exposed to a wide range of Latin-based music that he quickly mastered. Upon his return home, he would start DJ’ing parties on campus, thus expanding his skills with many genres of music like Latin/Arab/Dance music as well.Currently Dosk continues to perform weekly at The Lion’s Den, opening for Karoondinha 2017 with Chance The Rapper, The Roots, and John Legend, while both hosting his own events in Philly and working on his debut release slated for later this year. If it’s true that history repeats itself, it won’t be any surprise to anyone when Dosk is in front of a crowd of thousands of people once again.
